Dr Michael Eisen

Dr Michael Eisen is a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Before his doctoral training at University College London, Michael completed a Masters degree in Psychology, with Distinction, and a Bachelors degree from the University of Cambridge. 

Michael has worked for more than a decade in mental health services, gaining substantial experience in both the NHS and private practice. Most recently, he has specialised in working with busy professionals in demanding fields such as finance, tech, and law. He is trained in a range of therapies, and draws most heavily upon Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Compassion-Focussed Therapy, and Functional Analytic Therapy. He is a trained mindfulness teacher, accredited by the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University. 

Michael believes that a trusting, collaborative relationship is at the heart of any effective therapy, but that this will look different for each client. He enjoys discovering how he can best meet each of his clients with warmth, respect, and curiosity. 

Apart from his therapy work, Michael is an experienced supervisor of other Chartered Psychologists, a regular presenter in corporate settings, and has written two self-help books: The Little Depression Workbook and The Little Anxiety Workbook.
