Conquering Self-Compassion

Our Conquering Self-Compassion group is based on Compassion-Focused Therapy, and focuses on specifically supporting individuals to overcome and conquer their crippling experiences of shame, which often manifest as intense and persistent self-criticism and negative emotion. Facilitated by a Clinical Psychologist and amongst peers with similar experiences, this safe and nonjudgemental group offers a space to identify and explore your experience of shame, where it stems from, how it manifests, and the function that it may have once served but which is now redundant. Within this group, we will support you to develop new positive emotions and feelings towards your self and others through a mixture of psychoeducation, skills learning and experiential exercises.
