Stress Surfing

Based upon Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), our Stress Surfing group combines techniques from both Mindfulness and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to support you to manage and overcome stress related to exams, deadlines, change, uncertainty and so on. 

Understanding that we all encounter waves of stress throughout our lives is key, in addition to learning that stress isn't always our enemy. Facilitated by a Clinical Psychologist and supported by peers facing similar difficulties, this group will support you to change your relationship to stress, and equip you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to confidently surf these stress waves as they come and go. The group aims to make stress more manageable, and teach you the difference between those things which exacerbate and prolong it versus those which help you to master it.
