At The Fitzrovia Psychology Clinic we recognise that being the parent or loved one of an individual facing mental health or emotional challenges can be daunting, lonely and anxiety-provoking. Research shows us that mental health difficulties often have a ripple effect, impacting not just the individual who is struggling, but also those around them. We therefore believe that it is hugely important to promote and provide greater support for families, carers and loved ones.
We are proud to offer a number of family workshops tailored specifically to you - the parents, partners, children, friends, carers and loved ones of our clients. The workshops focus on particular difficulties and therapies, and aim to equip and empower you with the understanding, skills and techniques to support your loved one on their therapeutic journey. They are aimed at reducing stress, conflict and uncertainty, and work to facilitate greater cohesion, joint understanding and team-working with your loved one. They additionally offer the opportunity to access the support you may also need from our team of experts and other families in similar circumstances.
Some of the workshops that we offer are detailed below, however please do not hesitate to get in contact if you would like to request one for your particular needs and wants. We would be more than happy to help.
