Ms Anna O'Neill
Anna O’Neill is a HCPC-registered Specialist Dietitian with over 15 years’ clinical experience across NHS and private healthcare settings. She has worked with children, adolescents and adults across a broad range of physical and mental health conditions, with particular expertise in eating disorders.
Throughout her career, Anna has worked across inpatient, outpatient and community services, supporting individuals with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, OSFED and disordered eating. She has extensive experience in nutritional rehabilitation, meal support, behaviour change, oral nutritional support, enteral nutrition and risk management, working closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, GPs, paediatricians and wider multidisciplinary teams to provide compassionate, evidence-based care.
Alongside her specialist eating disorder practice, Anna has worked across a wide range of clinical specialties including gastroenterology, diabetes, weight management, oncology, cardiovascular disease, renal nutrition, respiratory medicine, stroke, trauma and orthopaedics, antenatal nutrition and general medical dietetics. This breadth of experience enables her to understand the complex relationship between physical health, nutrition and psychological wellbeing, allowing her to deliver truly holistic, person-centred care.
Anna has also worked within digital health services and private practice, co-developing and delivering enhanced multidisciplinary treatment programmes for individuals requiring more intensive outpatient support. She has a particular interest in helping people navigate the complex relationship between food, thoughts, emotions and physical health, recognising that recovery is about far more than restoring nutrition alone.
Her approach is warm, collaborative and non-judgemental. She believes that lasting recovery begins with feeling genuinely understood, and she works alongside each individual to make sense of the factors maintaining their difficulties while building confidence, autonomy and hope for the future. Anna is passionate about helping people reconnect with the parts of themselves that have become overshadowed by illness, enabling them to build a meaningful life beyond their diagnosis rather than one defined by it.
Whether working with an individual, family or the wider multidisciplinary team, Anna’s aim is always the same: to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers people not only to recover, but to thrive long after treatment has ended.
