Dr Daisy Lee

Sport and Exercise Psychologist

Dr Daisy Lee is a BPS Chartered, HCPC registered Sport and Exercise Psychologist, with experience in performance and elite sport and higher education settings.

Daisy completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Chester, a masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology at the University of Winchester, before undertaking her Doctorate in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Daisy is an assimilative integrative practitioner, with her foundation in person-centred care. She uses evidence-based approaches which are tailored to the individual, ensuring effective, ethical support. At the core of her work is building a strong therapeutic relationship, where in collaboration with the client they decide what the client wants from sessions, allowing clients the freedom to set the direction and pace of work.

Across her career to date, Daisy has focused on supporting athletes with their performance and well-being, whether this is through the delivery of one-to-one support or group workshops. Topics covered among others have included:

  • Normative and non-normative transitions
  • Identity loss
  • Injury rehabilitation (e.g., including rehabilitation adherence, grief, frustration and anger).

Alongside her practice, Daisy’s most recent research has focused on sport related concussion and the role that sport and exercise psychologists do/or could play in supporting athlete concussion management.
