I just wanted to say thank you to Lucy. After what feels like two years, I feel like I’ve finally gotten over my depression. I’m feeling happy again and generally positive about the future… which honestly feels amazing after so long of not feeling that way.

A lot of that is down to what I learned in our sessions and how to deal with and cope with depression. I still think back to some of the things we talked about, and they really stick with me.

So yeah, just wanted to say a proper thank you! You really helped me!” Former Client

“I cannot recommend Lucy Viney highly enough to anyone facing difficult times. I sought Lucy’s support while coping with profound grief after the loss of my husband and the estrangement of my daughter. Lucy provided me with practical coping strategies and, just as importantly, offered genuine reassurance and validation for my feelings. Her compassionate approach made it easy to open up, and I always felt understood and supported throughout my sessions.”

ADHD Treatment FAQ

What are the benefits of getting a private ADHD diagnosis?

A private ADHD diagnosis offers a faster, more streamlined route to understanding your symptoms compared to long public waiting lists. At The Fitzrovia Psychology Clinic, assessments are carried out by experienced clinicians who specialise in ADHD in both adults and children. You receive a thorough evaluation, clear results, and tailored guidance on treatment options such as therapy, coaching, or medication where appropriate.

How does the ADHD assessment process work for adults and children?

Adults and children experience ADHD differently, so the assessment is tailored to each age group. Adult assessments explore areas such as organisation, emotional regulation, and concentration through clinical interviews and cognitive testing. Children are assessed in a supportive, child-friendly environment, with insights gathered from parents and, when relevant, schools. This ensures a rounded and accurate understanding of the child’s behaviour at home and in education.

How long does a private diagnosis for ADHD take?

Most ADHD assessments are completed within 2–3 appointments over a few weeks, including a dedicated feedback session.

Can I get a private ADHD diagnosis for my child without involving the school?

Yes, our assessments can be done privately without school involvement, although parental input is essential.

Will my private diagnosis for ADHD be accepted by my GP or other health professionals?

Yes, our clinic provides a detailed report which you can share with your GP or other specialists.
