Family Therapy, also referred to as ‘Systemic Therapy’, is an approach that aims to support all family members equally to better understand one another, change unhelpful behaviours and methods of communication, and resolve conflicts and differences between members in a safe and contained environment. It looks to identify each person’s individual strengths and gradually builds upon these within the context of the family across the duration of therapy.
