Dr Kevin Pankhurst

I am a General Adult Psychiatrist, a medically qualified doctor that specialises in the assessment and treatment of conditions that influence mental health. I practise in Berkshire and Surrey and have extensive experience providing assessments and treatment for a broad range of mental health conditions, particularly stress-related disorders, depression and bipolar affective disorder, alcohol and substance abuse and self-harm. I believe strongly in the holistic care of my patients and adopt a combination of psychological, biological and social approaches to my practice.

My main focus is establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with my patients and taking an active participation in their treatment plans. I provide supportive therapy in managing personal circumstances and building self-resilience, which are an integral part of the healing and recovery process. Where necessary, I prescribe medication in accordance with evidenced based treatments increasing effective outcomes.
